SEMINAR SCHEDULE FOR 2008 - PINELLAS COUNTY
All programs will be held on SATURDAYS from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Seminar is conducted in English. All Participants will receive lunch and an 88-page home buying manual. Upon Completion of the Workshop, a Certificate will be received. This must be provided to your Assistance Program as soon as possible. If you previously attended a Seminar and your Certificate is over 18 months old, you must attend a more current Seminar.
Please note that COFFEE AND/OR BREAKFAST ARE NOT SERVED at the workshop. IF YOU HAVE A TENDENCY TO BE COLD, YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A SWEATER OR LIGHT JACKET. We are unable to control the temperature inside the facility. The temperature is regulated at another location.
Childcare is not available, and due to the length of the seminar, CHILDREN ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE WORKSHOP.
LUNCH for each Workshop CONSISTS OF A TURKEY SUB SANDWICH, POTATO CHIPS, COOKIES AND A SOFT DRINK. IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS and the lunch provided will not accomodate those needs, PLEASE ARRANGE TO BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH, as special dietary accomodations cannot be made.
All PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE upon completion of the Seminar, and this CERTIFICATE IS ACCEPTED BY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND LENDERS IN PINELLAS, PASCO AND HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES. THE CERTIFICATES ARE VALID FOR ONE YEAR. IF YOU HAVE NOT PURCHASED A HOME WITHIN THAT TIMEFRAME, YOU WILL NEED TO ATTEND ANOTHER WORKSHOP.
PLEASE NOTE: THE CERTIFICATE RECEIVED AT THE WORKSHOP IS NOT AN APPROVAL FOR DOWNPAYMENT ASSISTANCE OR FINANCING. All Borrowers must still complete an Assistance Application and meet the County and State eligibility requirements.
