Established in 1982, Tampa Bay CDC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has proudly served the Bay Area communities and beyond for over three decades. As a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency and chartered member of NeighborWorks America, Tampa Bay CDC provides a wide range of quality programs and services designed to promote homeownership.
Programs and Services
Clients who need down payment/closing cost assistance may be eligible to receive interest free funds from the City of Clearwater, the City of Largo, and Unincorporated Pinellas County (i.e., Gulfport, Pinellas Park, Tarpon Springs, Safety Harbor, etc.)
Tampa Bay CDC administers home buyer education workshops each month at various locations in the Tampa Bay area. At our "Dream of Homeownership" Workshops, future home buyers will learn how to navigate the home buying process and be provided tools to help them overcome common problems along the way. Tampa Bay CDC meets the educational requirements established by HUD and NeighborWorks America. Workshop certificates are accepted by assistance programs in Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties.

Homeownership does not end after purchase. Tampa Bay CDC provides post purchase and foreclosure prevention programs aimed at preserving the dream of homeownership. Our services include problem identification, budgeting, counseling and direct intervention with the lender.
